Cortona is a small pearl located in the province of Arezzo in the region of Tuscany, long admired and visited by tourists from around the world. Rich in archaeological discoveries, the hilltop town has always attracted art and history enthusiasts. Surrounded by ancient walls in which Etruscan and Roman features are still visible, thanks to its 600 m. altitude, the views from Cortona are vast and harmonious, with vistas that extend all the way to the silvery mirror of Lake Trasimeno, across a landscape dotted with villas, farmhouses, and vineyards.

In addition to its natural beauty, Cortona is renowned for its wines. Its territory is almost like a French enclave, a miniature Rhone Valley in Tuscany, and Syrah is the predominant grape. The inclusion of Syrah in the appellation can be traced back to the 1960s, when a handful of pioneering winemakers discovered the cultivar in their vineyards and decided to plant more of it. Today, Syrah has become one of the symbols of Cortona, and our high-quality wines are exported worldwide.
